University-Level Learning — Right in High School

AP (Advanced Placement) is a College Board program that lets high school students take university-level courses and sit official exams. A score of 3 or higher is accepted as college credit at most US and international universities — saving you time and tuition money before you even arrive on campus.

Real Academic Weight

Harvard's average admitted GPA is 4.18 — impossible without AP, since a standard high school scale tops out at 4.0. AP grades carry extra weight and signal to admissions offices that you're ready for rigorous university study.

  • GPA above 4.0 — only possible with AP
  • Harvard avg GPA: 4.18
  • Recognized signal of academic readiness

Save Time and Tuition Money

Students who arrive at university with AP credits often skip introductory courses entirely — meaning fewer semesters, lower tuition costs, and more time to focus on advanced work from day one.

  • Skip intro university courses
  • Reduce overall tuition cost
  • Head start on your degree from day one

Competitive Advantage

31% of US universities consider AP results when awarding financial aid, according to College Board. Admissions offices worldwide treat AP as a marker of genuine academic commitment — it strengthens your entire application profile.

Why Students Choose AP

AP courses aren't just about one exam in May — they shape your university application, your scholarship chances, and your readiness for what comes after high school.

01

Top University Admission

Top universities use weighted GPA scales where AP courses push scores above 4.0. Harvard's average admitted GPA is 4.18 — a number impossible to reach without AP. Without it, even a perfect standard transcript falls below the competitive threshold.

  • Harvard avg GPA: 4.18
  • Standard school max GPA: 4.0
  • AP raises you above the threshold
02

Real University Preparation

AP courses are built around the same content, pace, and expectations you'll face in your first year of university. Students who take AP consistently outperform peers in first-year GPA, according to College Board research.

  • First-year university content
  • Higher first-year GPA — proven by research
  • Genuine academic readiness
03

Scholarships & Financial Aid

31% of US universities factor AP performance into financial aid decisions, according to College Board. Strong AP scores open doors to merit-based awards that aren't accessible to students without AP credits in their transcript.

  • 31% of US universities use AP in aid decisions
  • Opens merit-based scholarship opportunities
  • Strengthens your entire financial aid profile
04

Get Ahead Before Day One

A score of 3 or higher may earn you college credit before you even enroll. Skip introductory courses, lighten your first semester, and focus on what actually moves your degree forward.

  • Score 3+ = college credit at most universities
  • Skip intro courses on arrival
  • Lighter first semester, faster momentum

  • Signals academic seriousness
02

Competing for Scholarships

31% of US universities factor AP into financial aid decisions. Strong AP performance opens doors to merit-based awards that aren't accessible to students without AP credits on their transcript.

The Earlier You Start, the More Advantage You Build

AP courses aren't just about passing one exam in May — they build an academic profile over time. Here's how the calendar works and when each grade level should begin.

Grades 9–10: The Ideal Start

Starting early allows students to complete 4–6 AP courses before graduation — the number competitive universities look for. More time means stronger scores, room for retakes, and a deeper transcript overall.

Best time to start AP
4–6 AP courses by graduation
Time for retakes if needed
Strongest possible transcript

Grades 11–12: Still Highly Effective

Focus on 2–4 AP subjects directly relevant to your intended major or university requirements. Concentrated effort in fewer subjects often yields stronger scores than spreading too thin.

2–4 AP subjects recommended
Focus on your intended major
Fewer subjects = stronger scores
Still makes a significant difference

Every AP year follows the same rhythm. Know the deadlines, plan around them, and arrive at your May exam fully prepared — with nothing left to chance.

Yes. SHKOLA holds Initial Accreditation from ACS WASC (Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges) — one of the most respected accreditation bodies recognized by the US Department of Education. Accreditation covers K–12 and is valid through June 30, 2027. Accreditation was granted on November 20, 2024.

Yes. Our U.S. High School Diploma is recognized by colleges and universities throughout the United States and can be used for university admissions both in the US and internationally. WASC accreditation ensures acceptance across all 50 states. We recommend verifying with your target university that they accept diplomas from online accredited schools.

Our graduates have been accepted to universities including Brown University (Ivy League), King's College London (Russell Group), Western University Canada, University of Alberta, Drexel University, Stamford International University (Bangkok), Emirates Aviation University (UAE), and Hanze University (Netherlands), among others. WASC accreditation and College Board AP authorization mean our diploma and transcripts are recognized by universities worldwide.

Yes. We offer 3 free trial days — not just a single lesson. Your child will complete a diagnostic assessment, attend group classes, and participate in extracurricular activities. Parents see our individualized approach in action. No payment required upfront.

In most cases, you can start learning anytime throughout the year without waiting for group enrollment. We offer flexible start dates to accommodate your family's schedule.

You'll need: (1) Educational records — report card or academic transcript, and (2) Government-issued ID or passport. Our admissions team will guide you through the full enrollment process.

Since instruction is conducted in English, students need English language proficiency. We assess level during the trial period and can recommend preparatory English courses if needed before starting the main program.

Yes. We accept students from around the world. At least a basic level of English is required for comfortable communication with teachers and the personal curator.

Students need: (1) Computer or laptop, (2) Stable internet connection, (3) Webcam and microphone. No additional purchases are required — all learning materials are included.

No. All textbooks, workbooks, and learning materials are included in tuition and accessible through the Buzz LMS platform. No hidden costs for materials.

It depends on your chosen format:

  • Group format: Fixed schedule (two time slots — daytime and evening)
  • Self-Study, Individual formats: Flexible, adapted to your schedule and timezone

Yes, all classes are recorded. If your student misses a live group lesson, they can watch the full recording at their convenience. No learning time is lost.

We maintain small classes with a maximum of 6 students per teacher in group format. This ensures:

  • Every student receives real, consistent attention
  • Teachers notice who's struggling immediately and help at once
  • Everyone participates — no one can hide behind a muted camera
  • Faster progress without constant repetition for those who fall behind

Yes. We offer an accelerated format for motivated students who want to complete their diploma faster. One of our graduates, Ivan Drogan, completed both 11th and 12th grade in one year.

Every student has a personal curator — a mentor who monitors progress, motivates, and tracks attendance. If a student misses a lesson, the curator contacts them directly, and parents if necessary. Curators conduct regular extracurricular check-ins and are the main point of contact for parents throughout the school year.

Curators send parents a weekly Progress Report containing: percentage grade (0–100%), letter grade (A–F), number of completed assignments, and teacher feedback. Parents always have a clear, current picture of how their child is performing.

We minimize the need for parent involvement. Parents don't need to assist with homework, and curators ensure students attend class. Younger students may need help logging into the platform. If you choose the Self-Study format without a curator, some parental oversight is recommended.

Yes. Monthly payment is available. You can also save by paying in advance: 3 months saves 3%, 6 months saves 5%, 9 months saves 7%. Discounts cannot be combined. Payment is accepted via Stripe or bank transfer.

No hidden fees or mandatory additional charges. All learning materials are included in tuition. You can optionally add extra subjects or AP courses if your student wants to study beyond the standard curriculum.

Yes. All enrollment is governed by an official service agreement that outlines the terms, services provided, payment conditions, and refund policy. The contract is signed before the start of paid enrollment.
